Humboldt Merchant Services has reached an agreed resolution with the Federal Trade Commission relating to the company's work with a limited number of third-party sales agents and merchants, which occurred primarily between 2021 and 2023 under former Humboldt leadership.
In addition to significantly enhancing its compliance and risk management programs in recent years, Humboldt cooperated fully with the FTC throughout this process. The agreement, which formalizes many processes and controls already put into place, closes this matter with no admissions of wrongdoing. A Humboldt spokesperson said: “Humboldt is moving forward and focusing exclusively on supporting its growing portfolio with the integrity, transparency, and excellent service its merchants and partners have come to expect.”
